Marquise Technologies Presents Dailies Software Solution

Marquise Technologies has announced a dedicated software solution for the on-set management of RAW dailies. M I S T solo has been designed to help all productions, regardless of their size, for feature films, commercial or TV series, in the control and security of their dailies footage, in a professional way.

M I S T solo enables real-time de-Bayering of the most popular digital cameras RAW formats, at their maximal resolution (up to 5K): ARRIRAW (ARRI Alexa), CinemaDNG (Aaton Penelope Delta & Black Magic Design), Cine files (Phantom Gold & Flex), or Weisscam RAW.

Security, reliability and fast delivery is granted with a powerful toolset including all the necessary features to provide the DIT and the production-crew with instant and high-quality results. Possible deliverables are ProRes, MXF DNxHD and H264, rendered simultaneously in parallel streams for a faster review on every device: Web, iPad, Mac Books, or Editing station.

Integrating M I S T solo is extremely easy on any device running Windows7 64 bit, ranging from a laptop to a custom built solution integrating REDRockets and Video i/o boards. Mac Book Pro owners can also run M I S T solo via Bootcamp.

"Processing dailies on set can be a challenge in several ways and this service must fit within the limitations of the quantity of equipment that can be brought along and of course the balance sheet for the production. MIST solo is the solution of choice that meets these requirements delivering high-end results at an unbeatable price," said Laurence Stoll, CEO of Marquise Technologies.

M I S T solo, the entry-level solution part of the M I S T product range, will be shipping at the end of September 2012.

A blue sky sprawls between ridges frosted in deep evergreen, framing Alder Gulch much as when Native American tribes traversed this landscape 800 years ago. The town of Virginia City sprang up virtually overnight in the summer of 1863; within one year, it was the largest city in the Inland Northwest, with an estimated 10,000 residents. These days, few people continue seeking gold in Alder Gulch. But for filmmakers seeking ready-made Old West locations, the towns of Virginia City and Nevada City offer one more chance to strike it rich.
